Residential Survey Reports

The Building Survey Report is a detailed investigation and assessment of the construction and condition of a building. The survey generally includes the structure, fabric, finishes and landscaping that will include reference to visible or likely defects.

At every opportunity, William Stevens Consulting strives to add value and go beyond our clients expectations. We include a detailed and prioritised cost schedule which will allow our client to fully appreciate the financial burden of any hidden or future maintenance works that can facilitate negotiation of the sale price. The reports are prepared in simple laymen’s terms; we avoid the use of unhelpful jargon and strive to prepare a report within 5 working days of instruction.

Like any survey, it is not feasible or normally practical to open up structures to examine behind finishes, for example wall linings or beneath fitted carpets.  Nevertheless, our experience of typical building defects ensures that a ‘no stone left unturned’ approach is instilled with each inspection.
